Mike Allen

Owner of First Place Athletics.  Mike has been a local favorite at road and trail races for many years.  If Mike is not at the store, he is likely out running at a steady pace with relaxed shoulders.

James Terwilliger

James is the manager of the Huntsville location.  He is a former UAH cross country runner and is currently a favorite at road races in the Southeast.  “Twig” also is the cross country coach at Randolph School in Huntsville.

Stephen Baker

Stephen has worked at First Place Athletics - Huntsville for roughly 1 and a half years. He is the head cross country coach at Westminster Christian Academy.

He was the Alabama state cross country champ at the 1A level in 1998 and he ran at UAH for 2 years.

Zac Wible

Zac attended Mississippi State University and was manager of the track program from 1995 thru 1997. He has worked at First Place Athletics - Huntsville since October of 2004. Zac recently completed an MA in Public Affairs (UAH, May 2006).

Dave Broom

Dave has worked at First Place Athletics - Huntsville since August of 2004. He currently attends Calhoun Community College. Dave specializes in the fitting of walking shoes, most notably the New Balance 'Country Walker.'

Heath White

Heath ran cross country at the University of North Alabama.   He is currently a favorite at road races in North Alabama.  Heath joined First Place Athletics - Florence in May of 2005.

Paul Williams

Paul ran cross country at the University of North Alabama.  He is currently a favorite at local races in the Shoals area.  Paul joined First Place Athletics - Florence in December of 2005.

Ivy Garrison

Ivy has worked at First Place Athletics - Huntsville since August of 2006.  Ivy is the best swimmer at the store and currently swims for Grissom High School.  She was a member of the 2004 US Paralympic Swim Team.

Will Rodgers

Will works at First Place Athletics - Huntsville and runs for UAH.  Will is from Denton, TX and just recently cut off his shaggy hair.  He plans to run the 800m and 1500m in track and has a special (albeit strange) love for track spikes.
